The World Photo Tour goes on, conquering the mountains. [Probably] the best walk on the road so far: Retezat and Parâng mountains, both wild and welcoming. First bit found me climbing from Râu de Mori to Râușor and then all the way up to Retezat Summit. Just a bit over 9 hours of painful climb through dense forest and then close to vertical steeps. The latest from The World Photo Tour is here with Romanian stuff, covering the walk from crossing into Romania from Hungary, then to Cenad, Arad, Timișoara, Caransebeș, Oțelu Roșu and Râu de Mori. Either look it up on the map or just imagine it’s from plains to mountains. Or just look at the pictures. ;) So, back in the country I was born in, having fiddled my way to a new beginning in the UK.
