What am I doing these days

The-World-Photo-Tour-PlanWith 34 days to go before I start walking on The World Photo Tour, I am spending most of my time doing a lot of reading, a lot of research reading, walking and a lot of sleeping.

Trying out different equipment and gear with a full-loaded backpack. Walking miles at night or whenever.

Reading about others’ adventures, documenting on remote places like The Namib and Kalahari Deserts, Alaska and Yukon, Patagonia, Western Sahara, Taklamakan Desert, Tanami, Simpson and Great Victoria Deserts. Everything about the climate, the land forms, the wild life. Reading about dangers out there, about dangerous countries and dangerous towns. All in all, trying to absorb as much information as I can. Spending hours studying maps.

Reading about visas and border-crossing issues. Planning, a lot of planning.

Sorting out the equipment I need, trying to keep it as light as possible and choosing the essentials.

That’s basically it.
